NOEMIE, a versatile violinist, navigates classical, jazz, and traditional repertoires with unwavering passion. Trained under esteemed musicians from top French orchestras, she earned her DEM at CRR de Cergy-Pontoise and further refined her skills at The Lausanne University of Music. She is regularly invited to play symphonic and chamber music with the National Opera of Paris, The National Orchestra of Brittany, Paris Mozart Orchestra and recorded a wide array of soundtracks for the cinema with the Scoring Orchestra. Alongside her classical music journey, she has embarked on many inspired musical ventures. In 2012, she founded the collective La Bande Originale and brought her own projects to life: Duo Méliès (classical & broadway), String Theory Duo (music & comedy), and the group Off Penrose (ceilidh). After having served as second violinist of the String Quartet of the Army Forces for 3 years, she happily turned to improvisation and singing in 2015 with the singer Nabila Dali (berber & world music), then within the quartet Dyslexic Swing (gypsy jazz) and various shows at Disneyland Paris. In 2023, she joined the Hip Hop company Wanted Posse and is currently performing in the show 'Steps On Strings' (directed by Philippe Lafeuille). The year 2024 will highlight her collaboration with violinist Olivier Leclerc through the launch of their duo Two Fiddlers, where she showcases her talents in improvisation, jazz, klezmer, and Gaelic folk music.
Soloists
With classical training but also a former student of Didier Lockwood at the CMDL (Centre des Musiques DL) , OLIVIER developed a passion for improvisation very early on.
On stage or in the recording studio, he multiplies collaborations with leading artists (Didier Lockwood, Martha Fields, Jean-Jacques Milteau, Sophie Tapie, Tania Kassis, Elie Semoun, François Laizeau, Carlton Moody…). In 2008, Olivier performed at the Olympia for the release of his first album. In 2019 he was a soloist on the soundtrack of the film The Sonata , accompanied by the National Orchestra of Ile de France . Olivier composes and produces the music for numerous television documentaries and advertising films.
He currently performs in the bands Fascinating Grappelli Trio , Swing Club , Trio Sortilège , Metanoya , Two Fiddlers, JamapamaQ and Martha Fields Band . These projects allow him to distinguish himself on numerous national and international stages (Lebanon, Colombia, Quebec, Switzerland, Lithuania, Scotland, England, Netherlands, Tahiti, Saint Pierre and Miquelon...). Holder of a State Diploma and very attached to pedagogy and transmission, Olivier teaches “jazz and improvised music” violin in Paris.
